UCO Network is a blockchain and IoT-based platform that transforms the collection and recycling of used cooking oil into a transparent, compliant, and rewarding process. By enabling Waste Management Operators (WMOs) and collectors to manage balances, schedule visits, and issue immutable Waste Transfer Notes (WTNs), the project provides automation, traceability, and operational efficiency. Designed to align with international regulations like RED II, the solution empowers stakeholders with real-time data, reduces errors from manual processes, and unlocks new financial value streams such as carbon credits and tokenized incentives in a global market projected to reach $10 billion by 2028.

Objectives and Strategic Goals

  • Build a B2B platform (dashboard + mobile app) leveraging blockchain, IoT, NFTs, and tokenization

  • Solve trust, transparency, traceability, and incentive gaps.

  • Enable automated compliance with RED II (EU), a global marketplace, and monetization of recycling/carbon credits

Identified Pain Points

  • Lack of trust and traceability in the collection chain.

  • No tangible incentives for collectors.

  • Manual processes vulnerable to fraud or compliance errors.

Proposed Solutions

  • Dashboard for WMOs: manage teams, companies, pricing, balances, reports, and automated compliance.

  • Mobile app for collectors: scheduling, automated balance, issuance of WTNs as NFTs, alerts, history, and route visualization.

  • IoT & blockchain infrastructure: LoRaWAN sensors, real-time data capture, NFTs as certificates, global marketplace, and carbon credit certification.
